2021 Annual Dinner
The 2021 Copper Club Annual Dinner, originally scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 9 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, is being postponed. The decision was made in light of the circumstances related to COVID-19 in New York City, CDC recommendations related to public gatherings, and travel restrictions that may prevent many from attending.
“Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has deeply impacted so many aspects of our personal and professional lives. While we were hoping to be able to gather in June to celebrate the copper industry, the health and safety of the attendees are of the utmost importance. It is with this in mind that, after much consideration, the Board has decided to postpone this year’s event” said Stephen Higgins, Chairman. “However, we are excited to announce the that it has been rescheduled at the Pierre Hotel in New York City, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at which time we will also present the Ankh Award.”
The Copper Club remains committed to supporting university students who are studying fields related to the copper industry. Therefore we will continue the provision of the 2021 award recipients Educational Grants Program, which assists exceptional students in preparing for careers in fields related to the copper industry.
The Copper Club would like to thank the entire copper industry for its continued support over the past 77 years, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2021.
